ABOUT THE GROUP

Our research group is located at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and affiliated with the University of Heidelberg. Our research is focused on the synthesis and application of biofunctional materials, surfaces and nanoparticles.

The project "Aquarray: Miniaturization of biological screenings based on Droplet Microarrays" will be funded by the EXIST Forschungstransfer programme. The EXIST programme is competitive grant supported by the European Social Fund (ESF), European Union (EU) and the Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie (BMWi). The goal of the project is to support the foundation of our spin-off project Aquarray: www.aquarray.com Congratulations to Anna, Simon and Konstantin for this success!

Our new paper on "patterned SLIPS for creating and screening of bacterial biofilm microstructures" has been accepted to Advanced Healthcare Materials. Congratulations to Ivana and Julia! This paper is a result of a very fruitful collaboration with the group of Prof. Schwartz from the Institute of Functional Interfaces at the KIT.
